A failed print is evidence. Match what you can see to the most likely causes, then test the simplest reversible fix first.

Before changing a setting

  1. Let hot parts cool before touching the printer.
  2. Photograph the defect and note the layer where it started.
  3. Write down the current profile, material and temperatures.
  4. Change one variable, then repeat the same small test.

When to stop

Disconnect power and follow the manufacturer’s support process if you find damaged wiring, a loose mains connection, smoke, a persistent burning smell or uncontrolled heating. Software tuning is not a safe response to an electrical fault.
